About Josie

How It Began
When I was in fourth grade I won a Nancy Drew mystery book from my teacher. I dinstinctly remember caressing the smooth, pristine hard cover of the book each time I picked it up to read it. It all began there. My love of reading, my love of mystery stories, my love of books in general. And yes, believe it or not, my love of romance. I loved the spark between Nancy Drew and her beau Ned. From that point on I read every Nancy Drew and related book I could get my hands on.

Then when I was in eighth grade I was given a blank book as a gift. The cover was a tapestry-like fabric covered with Teddy Bears. What do you do with a blank book? Well, you write in it of course! I began writing poems and short stories in the book. In high school I left behind my love of creative writing and entered the world of non-fiction and functional writing. I wrote for my school paper and yearbook and then spent my college years writing paper after paper.

It wasn't until later, when I looked around my home-office full of shelves and shelves of romance books that I thought of writing my own book. I knew what I liked to read and I knew what story lines and characters made me excited about a story. I decided to write my own stories.
